HIGHLIGHTS
This journey is for 6 nights and 7 days and offers a chance to go from Mumbai to Delhi via some of the most romantic, historical sights in India. This journey covers some of the major sites of the treasured Indian legacy with UNESCO-listed world heritage sites, monuments, etc. You will experience the elegance of this train and also you get a chance to explore the shimmering Lake City of Udaipur, the majestic fort at Jodhpur, the Pink City of Jaipur, and the Taj Mahal in Agra.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Sunday –
Mumbai to Udaipur
Meet at the Tower Hotel and The Taj Mahal Palace this morning at 08:30 AM in Mumbai to complete the registration process and check-in formalities. Tour briefing will be done at the same place. Then, around 09:45 head towards the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus(CSMT) Railway Station, Mumbai so that you can board Maharaja's Express. At the station, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and a vibrant tune from a local band as you board the Maharajas Express. The train will move around 10:50. Our precious guests can enjoy a delicious lunch and dinner on board as the train moves towards Udaipur, a land of shimmering lakes and regal palaces. People can spend their free time in their cabins or they can chit chat with fellow passengers in the lounge and bar.

Day 2: Monday – Beauty of Udaipur
Wake up inside your luxurious rooms. Have a fulfilling Breakfast while enjoying the surrounding views of the charming “City of Lakes” around 08:00 am. Then, proceed for a boat ride on Lake Pichola followed by a visit to City Palace. This palace is situated inside the lake, and going on a boat towards the palace offers nice views. This is the largest palace in Rajasthan and is adorned with scalloped arches, ornate domes, and fretted balconies. Inside the palace, people can explore spots like Mor Chowk, Moti Mahal, Chini Mahal, and Zenana Mahal. After that, we will go towards the Crystal Gallery of this beautiful city. After a good exploration, around 13:00 get ready for an exclusive lunch at Fateh Prakash Palace’s Satkar Hall which is a leading heritage hotel. Come back to your luxurious and elegant coaches and relax for some time. You can have dinner around 19:30 and sleep for the night as the express moves towards Jodhpur.

Day 3: Tuesday – Exploration at Jodhpur
On the 3rd day, the Maharajas’ Express will arrive in Jodhpur- the “Blue City”. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast around 07:00 am on board as the train ventures further into the heart of Rajasthan. The rest of the morning is yours; you can relax in your comfortable cabins, mingle with fellow members, or do whatever you like. After enjoying your free time, have a delicious meal inside Express and then get ready to visit the Royal Mehrangarh Fort at 14:30. See the beautiful latticed windows, intricately carved panels, and delicately curved arches. Take some nice pictures and then enjoy a Tuk Tuk ride and a walking tour of the Old Clock Tower market. Around 17:30 enjoy a delicious and exclusive cocktail dinner at Khaas Bagh which is a heritage hotel. Enjoy a pleasant ambiance around you while having your delicious dinner. Come back to Maharajas’ Express by 20:30 and rest for the night while this luxurious express moves towards Bikaner.

Day 4: Wednesday – A Day for Bikaner Outing
Enjoy the nice views of the surroundings while having breakfast inside Maharajas’ Express around 08:00 am. After arriving, relax in your cabins or engage in one or more optional activities, and then enjoy your lunch around 13:00. After having a delicious lunch, we will move to Junagarh Fort at 14:30. This fort was built in 1593 AD by Raja Rai Singh, as it is considered unbeatable. Visit to the famous Diwan-i-Khas, Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), Badal Mahal, Hawa Mahal (Cloud Palace), and Anup Mahal would leave one utterly speechless. After exploring the fort, get ready for a royal procession on a clam cart with musicians and head to the sunset celebration around 17:30. The celebration will take place on the sand dunes. Enjoy some nice cocktails, barbeque, and folk dance performances. By 20:30 hours come back to the comfort of your luxurious train and continue your adventure towards Jaipur.

Day 5: Thursday – The Pink City Tour
Start your day with a delicious breakfast on board inside the fine dining halls of Maharajas’ Express. Around 08:30, the train will reach the “Pink City” Jaipur. Firstly, after reaching and receiving a traditional grand welcome, your day will begin with a visit to Amber Fort. It’s a historical and beautiful sight which shows an interesting fusion of Hindu and Mughal architecture. This scenic fort was built back in 1592 by Raja Man Singh I and completed by Mirja Raja Singh. A stunning contrast of red sandstone and white marble was used in the construction. Around 13:00 after sightseeing at the fort, go to Rambagh Palace Hotel to eat a delicious lunch. This palace has stood tall for 189 years and it was once the home of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Now, it is a hotel and you can experience royal dining experience here. Return to the comforts of Maharajas’ Express at 16:00 and relax for some time. You can have your dinner inside the Maharajas’ Express as the train moves towards the next destination - Sawai Madhopur or you can say Ranthambore.

Day 6: Friday –Ranthambore & Fatehpur Sikri Visit
At 06:30 am, the train will reach Sawai Madhopur. From there, we will take you forward for a game drive in Ranthambore National Park. This is a famous place in Sawai Madhopur and it was once a hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur but then converted into a sanctuary in 1973 and is now a haven for diverse wildlife. You can explore the rich fauna and flora of this park by going on jeep safari rides. Trust us, it’s going to be a thrilling safari. While Ranthambore might not rival Africa’s vast wildlife, spotting a tiger or a leopard here is a stroke of luck. Around 09:45 Return to the Elegant Maharajas Express and have a nice breakfast on board as the train will move towards the famous Fatehpur Sikri which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a mouth-watering lunch at Maharajas’ Express fine-dining restaurants while watching the landscape around your express. The train will arrive at 14:45 at Fatehpur Sikri. Upon arriving at the small charming station of Fatehpur Sikri, get down to visit the impressive gateways, private and public audience halls, and intricately sculptured palaces of this deserted Mughal City. Around 17:45, after a day of exploration, return back to your comfortable accommodation at Maharajas' Express. Then the train will move towards Agra. Around 19:30, enjoy an “Indian Evening” and then a delicious dinner will be waiting for you. The train will reach at Agra at 20:00 and you can relax in your cabins for the night.

Day 7: Saturday –Agra & Delhi Tour
At 06:00 in the morning, be ready to visit the Taj Mahal, which is one of the seven wonders of the World. After clicking some nice pictures at the jewel of India, enjoy a scenic breakfast around 08:30 at a tabletop lawn atop the Taj Khema. From there, you can take the splendid views of the Taj Mahal. Then at 10:45, return to the Maharajas Express for your final stop- Delhi, the heart of India. Enjoy a delicious lunch made by the top chefs on board and then bid farewell to your fellow passengers and Maharajas’ Express as the train arrives at Delhi Safdarjung Station around 16:15. Your memorable journey ends here!
