Booking Policy of Maharajas’ Express:

• Guests can either make the entire payment of booking in one go or if they want to take some time then they can just pay 25% of the tour cost at least 90 days or more prior to the departure date. The remaining balance of 75% can be paid 75 days prior to the departure.
• If the guests make the booking of Maharajas’ Express 59 days or less prior to the departure then they need to pay the full 100% amount.
• All the booking requests will take place according to the above-mentioned points and failing these can make the booking be released/cancelled. Keep in mind that the relevant cancellation charges will be applicable following the deduction for services rendered.
• After the booking and payment formalities are completed, we will send you a confirmation of your booking. Kindly review & check it and if there are any errors then advise us immediately.
• The final documentation that will contain both the itinerary and voucher will be sent to our precious guests through mail 14 days prior to the date of departure. If you’re a foreigner then the originals will be handed over to you once you arrive in India.
• Guests will receive an acknowledgment of the amount that is paid for booking the Maharajas’ Express. All the relevant charges need to be borne by our guests.
• The prevailing rate of exchange on the date of the transaction would be applicable.

Cancellation Policy of Maharajas’ Express:

For any cancellations, the days will be counted excluding the date of departure.

In the case of FIT's:

• 60 days or more prior to departure, 25% of the published price.
• 45 to 59 days prior to departure, 50% of the total amount.
• 0 to 44 days prior to departure, 100% of the total amount.

In the case of Group Booking:

• 120 days or more prior to departure, 5% of the published price.
• 90 to 119 days prior to departure, 10% of the published price.
• 60 to 89 days prior to departure, 25% of the total amount.
• 30 to 59 days prior to departure, 50% of the total amount.
• 0 to 29 days prior to departure, 100% of the total amount.

No show, En route termination of tour, or Amendments:

1. No Show: In case of No Show, if the guest does not arrive at the starting point then no refund or adjustment in future travel will be possible. The whole amount shall be treated as forfeited.
2. En Route Termination of Tour: If the guest terminates the tour for any reason then no refund or adjustment for future travel will be possible. The amount for the unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited.
3. Amendment - This will only be possible for circumstances like Natural Disasters / Natural Calamities or Serious Health Problems (this needs to be supported by a doctor's certificate) and is subject to availability. Every case will be decided on merits on a case-to-case basis and no refunds are possible. In case you book for groups or the complete train then no amendment will be allowed.

Child Policy in Maharajas’ Express:

Children are allowed in Maharajas’ Express but we request our precious guests to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere and take care of their children.

• Children below 5 are allowed to travel free, they can share the double bed with their parents. This totally depends on the availability of a double bed at the time of booking. However, for a nice experience, it is recommended to pay extra for them and enjoy the journey to the fullest.
• Single Children between 5 years - 12 years can share the cabin with parents but an extra 50% of the adult fare is necessary. The child can share the bed with parents. This totally depends on the availability of a double bed at the time of booking. However, this is not recommended by us.
• A single child between 5 years - 12 years can also request a separate cabin for 50% of the (adult fare + Supplement charges)
• A separate cabin can be booked for two children between 5 years - 12 years for 50% of the adult fare for each child. This will be booked on a twin-sharing basis.
• A separate cabin can be booked for three children between 5 years - 12 years for 50% of the adult fare for each child. This will be booked on sharing of a double bed. If the third child requests a separate cabin then 50% of the (adult fare + Single Supplement charges) will be applied.
• For a Single Child with an adult in a separate cabin, guests need to pay the fare of two adults on a twin-sharing basis.
• For two children with an adult in a separate cabin, guests need to pay the full amount of an adult plus 50% of the adult fare for each child. This will be booked on sharing of a double bed.
• If the guests need to book a cabin for a child then it is subject to travelling with the adults. Keep one thing in mind that a single child has to share a guide/vehicle with adults travelling together in case of Suite & PS cabin booked pax. OR if a separate higher category vehicle is required, then a supplement will be levied.
• Please note one thing - interconnecting cabins are only available in the Presidential Suite Car. If you’re booking any other then interconnection is not there.
• All applicable taxes will be charged extra.
